How will it help us?

The concept of a DAO is an absolute dream solution for the specific problems that we face as a group right now. It's exactly what we need to come together and make things happen - without having to trust each other too much.

We also have an incredible opportunity here. We're one of the very first teams selected to run a DAO through the Colony beta program, by far the most advanced and bleeding edge DAO system. It went live 9 days ago, so the timing couldn't be better. Their team is very actively developing it and it will get really good, really fast. We'll be helping push it forward as the fastest growing DAO in the history of the world!

The best way to think about Donald DAO is that it's a pool of resources that we use to fund ideas that we believe are beneficial to our cause. The fund is initially made up of FEFE's, our community currency that can be earned, traded, bought and sold like any other cryptocurrency.

Community funds are locked up in a vault of sorts, and the only way to free the FEFE's from the vault is through voting. The community votes on proposals for people offering to help out in various ways, the good proposals get accepted, work gets done, and the funds are automatically distributed to the people who did the work.

  • Decentralized - No single entity has the power to make decisions. Everything is done by group vote.

  • Blockchain - It exists on millions of computers. There's no way to stop it.

  • Trustless - It can't be run by glowies, because it isn't run by anyone. The best they can do is participate, help out and earn some FEFE's like anyone else.

  • Permissionless - We don't need anyone's permission to exist. There is no gatekeeper.

  • Not a company - There are no owners or board members.

  • Leaderless - There's literally nobody in charge.

  • Anonymous - Anyone who wishes to remain anonymous is free to do so.

  • No personal information is collected or stored.

  • Built in reward system for people who take part and contribute.

  • A reputation system, giving some perks to the very active members who do much of the work.

  • A constitution that protects us from bad faith proposals and attempts to subvert the community.

  • Can vote to "smite" an obvious bad actor, removing much of their voting power.
